Who invented cars and still is alive?

The french say Louis Cougnot invented the car in the late 1700s, it was a three wheel steam car, it was uncontrolable and ended in a ditch while being tested. Gottieb Daimler and Karl Benz are the other "inventors" of the car, a four wheel bycicle with a 1 cylinder otto cycle engine (internal combustion gasoline) in the 1800s, these gentlemen ended up founding Mercedes Benz. (Mercedes was the name of Karls daughter). All those involved are long dead.
