PERENNIAL STREAMS SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED. Thereafter Check Dams should be built thereupon to block & store water after certain gaps. This help water to percolate to the water table and also provide small water stores at regular intervals which can be utilised by the humans and animals. This will also assist in stopping of soil erosion which is a major problem in the hills.
