Can you drive a ford escort van with no power steering fluid?

Not a very good idea, put something in it ATF will work. If you drive with no fiuld in it keep in mind you will have replace the pump

I can tell you from experience it is hard to turn the wheel when the power steering doesn't work right. Do not do it. It will cost you more in the long run. Easy to buy the fluid and put in.
