Did Cleopatra create makeup

No--makeup has a long history, and was used as part of everyday life for years before Cleopatra. Ancient Egyptians used black galena (kohl) to line their eyes, and used oils such as castor and sesame to fight wrinkles. Green eye paint was created from malachite, and lead was used along with red ochre to make red pigments for lips and cheeks.
