Why biology is exceptional science?

Science in the broadest sense describes a process of gathering and improving knowledge through observation, experimentation based on hypothetical speculations. Since Biology uses this exact set of "rules" to expand our knowledge-base of the living world around us (and more recently, possible extraterrestrial life), it is classified as a science.
