What is a house designer salary?

I have been a kitchen designer for almost two years. I get a base salary and commission. I will gross about $50,000.00 this year. I live in Alberta and being a kitchen designer for me is a good job, but since the majority of my income is from commission I look for builders and re-occuring clients. The longer I am in the business, the bigger my client base should be and hopefully the more I will make.
