Why is profile name in black ink on Facebook?

Though it would be nice and convenient if the previous answer were true... it isn't. I administer 5 pages from my personal page, and sometimes my own linked comments which have come in through "like" notifications show up in black... my own page name shows up in black and it's clickable, the person's name who liked my page/comment shows up in grey in such cases, yet their name is clickable too.

I have yet to find the explanation for why Facebook names and borders are sometimes in black, I've been searching but I can't find it.

It is black because they have set their search options to private. THis means that only they can search add friends and that nobody can search for them. The only way to get them on your friends list is to contact them through their email and get them to add you to their facebook friends list.
