What is the best cleaner for smoke damaged plastic?

Clean the plastic as soon as possible after the smoke damage. DO NOT TOUCH IT WITH YOUR BARE HANDS!!!! You must use plastic gloves. The oils from your hand will cause further damage. First vaccuum the soot off. Next use a vinyl eraser (white is best) and "erase" the soot. Lastly use an ammonia cleaner (i.e. 409) to clean the surface. Good Luck.
