A few popular foods in the 1950s were the Denver sandwich, which was simply a Denver omelet served hot on toast or rolls, anadama bread, made from cornmeal and molasses, and Boston cream pie, a dessert which consists of 2 layers of white cake with cream filling in the middle. Picnics were popular at this time, with simple menus of ham, crackers, and tea.
