The ancient city of Wuhan lies on a fertile plain near the confluence of the Yangtze and Han rivers. The city is divided by the Yangtze, which dominates the geography and is also the world’s third longest river. Known as the “Homeland of White Clouds and Yellow Crane”, with a population of over 9 million, it is the largest city in central China. It is home to some unique sites such as the Yellow Crane Tower, East Lake , and Hubei Provincial Museum.

Wuhan is quite old as the city’s history dates back 3,500 years. Dating to 220 A.D. is the Yellow Crane Tower, a famous tower that has been burned down and rebuilt several times.
