Where can I find a version of the iPod software 3.1.2 that will be compatible with your 3rd generation iPod Touch?

The third generation iPod Touch can be compatible with any new Apple updates as long as it has been unlocked. If the iPod Touch has not been unlocked or "jailbreaked" then you can only use the most recent update provided to you by Apple Corp.
