Can you feed a goat too much?

Not really. Backyard chickens are opportunistic eaters and will consume whatever is offered or can be found at their own pace. Battery hens both meat birds and layers have little else to do so will eat until it is time to sleep, they just get fat. Free range and farm chickens spend their time searching for food, interacting with other chickens and dust bathing.
