All four gospels cover the Easter story. Matthew's Gospel is for a Jewish audience, and thus explains it in relation to Jewish teaching and His fulfillment of ancient prophecy, Mark's Gospel is for a Roman-influenced audience and is far more factual and unemotional. Luke's Gospel is for a Greek-influenced audience and therefore is more artistic and emotional than the others; John's Gospel is written by one of the twelve, and is aimed at a worldwide audience - non-Jews, obviOSly.
