What do you do with no pressure in your Hayward Pool Pump?

Check for leaks, make sure gaskets are sitting correctly. Make sure the pump has prime and the filter has filled. On an above ground pool this is easily done by placing the valve in the "backwash" position while the pump is off. The pump basked should fill with water. Then run the pump until the filter has filled and the water in the sightglass is clear. Turn off the pump, move valve to "filter" position and turn the pump back on. Never move valve while the pump is running. never run the pump for more than five seconds if water is not moving through it.
