Is there a good VCR I can buy to dub my old tapes to DVD?

Yes there is a device that you can use to accomplish this and it's called Pinnacle Studio 9 AVDV or you can try the Canopus ADVC-100. Just keep in mind that these are capture devices and you will need them in order to do this.
