From 1928 to 1963, $2 bills were issued only as United States Notes, distinguishable by their red seals. Most common U.S. Note $2 bills are only worth a couple of bucks over face value, although some 1928 series notes can be worth considerably more in uncirculated condition.
Modern (1976 and newer) $2 bills are issued as green-seal Federal Reserve Notes, the same as all other denominations. If you get one in change just spend it again because it has no added value.
