What did African bring with them when they came?

The black people were not allowed to bring anything except the things they were wearing, and usually these were taken off them on the ships and they were forced to go naked. They had to leave their old lives behind and be forced into slavery! I feel so sorrry for those poor people and can't believe that people could do that to one another.
