What language was spoken in Scotland in the 1700 1800?

From 1700 onwards, the language of Scotland was Modern Scots.

Modern Scots is divided into five dialect groups which are:

• Insular Scots
• Northern Scots
• Central Scots
• Southern Scots
• Ulster Scots
