To remove the stereo from a 2005 Mazda 3, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Then, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the trim panel surrounding the stereo. Once the trim is removed, unscrew the mounting screws securing the stereo in place, and carefully pull the stereo out. Finally, disconnect the wiring harness and antenna cable from the back of the unit to fully remove it.
