What is the value of an 1889 D silver dollar?

Please check your coin more closely, using a magnifying glass if possible. The Denver Mint didn't open till 1906 and the Dahlonega Mint was long closed by 1889. Most likely it's a damaged "O" mint mark, indicating the New Orleans Mint.
