How do you pop the hood on 67 continental with no cable?

We just had this happen on a 67 Lincoln at our shop. It is not easy, but can be done.

You need to pry up the back of the hood just enough so that you can get a long extension under the hood. You need to unbolt the hook that is bolted to the hood. There are two bolts.

Once that is done, the hood will open. You will need to replace both cables. Good Luck.
