How do you use portable jumper cables?

To use portable jumper cables, first ensure both vehicles are turned off and parked close enough for the cables to reach both batteries. Attach the red clip to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery, then connect the other red clip to the positive terminal of the good battery. Next, attach the black clip to the negative (-) terminal of the good battery, and finally connect the other black clip to a metal ground on the dead vehicle. Start the working vehicle, let it run for a few minutes, then attempt to start the dead vehicle.
