I want to wear mascara but im scared of asking your mom?

OH! omg! i had the same situation last month, ok first off, my mom is very strict!! and im only 14, she grew up in a household that didnt like make-up at all on young people. reality is, this is North America and the 21st century. My mom was pretty cool about it and was really surprised at first but i began to notice the patterns. Last year i asked my mom if i was able to wear a little bit of eyeshadow to school, she said she was fine with it, as long as i didnt "cake" it on. I didnt, and after a while i got a little bit more dramatic with light eyeliner, she didn't mind, but i did make a deal with her though i told her that i was only gunna wear it on a few days of the week and she ended up saying yes to the mascara as well because of that deal. Just relax, what you do is go to the make-up section in wal-mart or something, look at the mascara and ask her if you could try a little bit for a while. and also ask her if she would allow you to wear mascara ONLY when going out somewhere fancy. Leave it at that and if she says no its fine i got a no the first time too. Just keep trying but don't be too persistant.
