Who was the orphan on Doctor Who?

There have been a few orphans on the 51 + years of the running tv show Doctor Who. Are you referring to the classics or NuWho or both? Or are you referring to the actors/actresses instead of characters? Main characters non main characters? Guest Star characters? Alien orphan or human orphan? The two most well known orphan characters on Doctor Who the NuWho is 1. Amy Pond (Because of the crack in time erasing the existence of her parents) & 2. Melody Pond [River Song], because she was kidnapped from her parents and taken and raised in an abandoned orphan home as a child by the secret religious order known as "The Silence".
