Can glycerin be used in face masks?

Oh! We have been using that gross glycerin on the face for so long now. Don't you read the labels on shaving creme, acne medications and cremes and ointments and makeup? It's in there! And we have been using it on the face with no reall side affects of symptoms however I think that the only type of gyceribn that should be used on the face or put in any product is vegetable glycerin. Glycerin is fat and usually made from the by produsts of a cow and has other stuff in it. The government allows us to use that nasty stuff on the face however i think that it is wrong should be banned and is gross. Parts of the cow ligiments and other parts like fat are used in glycerin. Burt's Bees is one of the few companies that uses natural products but still uses gylcerin in a select few. to avoid gycerlin, fat and ligiments leftobver from a dead rotting cow gorund up and put into our beatuy products and food, read labels and buy natural and organic products.
