What are the states of the west region?

The Census Bureau defines the west region as the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Then it is subdivided into Mountain and Pacific areas.
