Most evidence of nicotine or continine is excreted or removed from your system within 1-2 days (usually all signs are gone within 7 days except from your hair - they don't test your hair). However, the insurance company usually requires that you have stopped smoking for 1-2 years before you can get re-rated at a lower rate as a non-smoker for your life insurance. I hope that helps! Best of luck.
