How do you determine if a test environment is appropriate?

well it certainly does differ from test to test but if u want a sterail environment i reccemend taking some swabs with a ear cleaner of some areas around the room and placing on a petree dish and counting the colines that apear and if the amount is large then id try cleaning some more
