Why is dean kamen important?

Ok well dean kamen is important because he invented a water purifier that helps second world countries get clean water. He also invented a prosthetic arm that helps people without arms "feel" and pick things up with amazing sensativity. He invented the Segway which DEKA (his company) believes will be the green way for transportation in few years. Dean Kamen founded FIRST which is an organization that sponsors robotics contests throughout North America. I hope you find this information useful.
