I got mine done about 3 months ago, and it was red around the openings for quite a few weeks, but now it's totally normal, and I'm able to change it without hurting it or anything. I'm guessing that was normal.
Belly Button PiercingI sure as hell hope so, because I got one a few weeks ago, and there are red circles around the entry and exit holes. AnswerI've had my belly button pierced for about 5 weeks. At first the area around the holes was reddish purple. The bottom is normal now. The top hole is still a little red, but it's getting much less noticeable. I'd say just keep cleaning it and the redness should go away eventually. AnswerI got mine done like three days ago, and it's a little red around the top hole, so I'm also guessing that's normal...especially since other people seem to have the same experience. AnswerI got mine pierced yesterday and it's been a little red around the top hole (cant see the bottom) ever since...seems to be pretty common. AnswerI just recently got mine pierced about a week ago, it just started getting red around the entry and a little crusty. I'm pretty sure it is normal, just make sure you don't touch it too much because it gets irritated I believe and that's what causes it, i did exactly that and i think that's why it is red around.Answer
I just got my belly button done 2 days ago, and the bottom is fine, but the top is still a little red. There is no crust, or anything. I don't want mine to get infected, because i love it already.
