What are the risks of buying pirated software?

The main risk is losing money that you didn't need to spend. Why buy pirated software when you can either buy the software for real and not suffer risk or a hit to your concience.

The second risk is that it's still illegal to own pirated software. So you'd have lost money and still gained a criminal record if you're caught.

A 3rd risk is that you're spending money on something that unless you've sampled, you potentially are getting a product you didn't want, or is of low quality.

Just don't do it. Go the the piratebay.org or the shops. Both much better alternatives.
