When did Aurangzeb imprison his father?

At first Aurangzeb defeated Dara Shukoh, eldest son of Shah Jahan, in the Battle of Samugarh. In July, 1658, he confined his father Shah Jahan in the Agra fort with the assistance of his eldest son Sultan Muhammad.
