How much will it cost to repair the transmission in a 1999 Volvo V70 XC AWD?

The Auo Box on my V70 T5 has just cost $5000 NSD+ GST at Jaspers on the Northshore Auckland. Volvo wanted $6500 + GST. Jaspers had an XC70 in and he said" I got of lightly compared to XC owner, they needed a transfer case and Auto box! Sorry cut your losses and get rid, used Volvo's are rubbish, reading this New ones aren't much better! Good Luck!
