Is vancomycin a narrow spectrum antibiotic?

Vancomycin is an antibiotic. It is used to treat Metronidazole resistant Pseudo-membranous enter o-colitis. Or if the the patient is allergic to Metronidazole. Pseudo-membranous enter o-colitis is caused by the use of broad spectrum Antibiotics which kills normal flora of the large intestine.
