How do you program a 2006 G6 key?

To program a new key for a 2006 Grand Prix, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'on' position. Now you must wait 10 minutes 30 seconds. When the time is up, you have 45 seconds to turn the key back 'off.' Repeat this step two more times. When you turn it to the 'off' position for the third time, turn it back to 'on' and you're done.
