What are good reasons for voting?

Voting is how you voice your opinion about a certain topic, be it presidential elections or bond voting. If you don't vote, your opinion will not be heard nor counted. Many people think that one vote does not count, but if everyone followed that mentality there would be no votes cast and what would happen to a government run by the people if they people did not care to run it? Every freedom there is could be taken away because of the apathy.
