Disadvantages of radiata pine

Radiata pine has some disadvantages, The main disadvantage includes that it is a non-durable timber meaning it is not long lasting, if it is not treated it will deteriorate very rapidly especially when wet. Another problem is that fungi grows rapidly and is able to attack the timber as a tree and destroying it along with its structure. The problem with fungi is that its growth spreads rapidly, transporting moisture to other areas causing widespread failure which causes the tree to not be used which has now gone to waste.
