"John Hollister" wasn't a real person. You do know that, right?

HCo is owned by Abercrombie & Fitch along with abercrombie kids, RUEHL and Gilly Hicks.

John was a fictional character (whose name I thought was Jake); part of a fake story to give the store more....uh,...atmosphere. The fake establishment date is 1922 . Nothing else was given for the story.

Hollister was actually established in 2000. (GASP!)

All of the stores owned by abercrombie have fake stories to make better background or something like that.
