Indirect dating is a method used in Archaeology to estimate the age of a material or object by identifying materials nearby that can be dated directly. This can include studying the geological context, associated artifacts, or organic remains found in the same layer as the object of interest. By correlating the indirect dates with known chronological sequences, an approximate age range can be determined for the target object.
