What is the Fairies Siege written by Rudyard Kipling?

THE FAIRIES' SIEGE is a poem about a faithful old warrior who surrenders his master's castle "the Herald of God," "the Dreamer whose dreamd come true!"

Kipling may have intended it as a metaphor for the need of imagination in science and research.
