If the moon reflects sun light how do you see the moon?

The answer is in the question. The reason you see your friend is not because your friend is glowing on her/his own. You see light reflecting off of your friend's body. It's the same with the moon. When you are in darkness and you turn on a flashlight, you see things because the light you shine on them reflects back to you. You see the light that the moon reflects from the sun.
