What is omental torsion?

The omentum is a "fold" of peritoneal tissue that connects your stomach and intestines to the back of the abdomen. (It carries the blood vessels.)

Torsion means twist.

So that layer of tissue got twisted.

It can be minor or it can be fatal, the correction is usually surgical.
