Parts of division

Quotient = Dividend / Divisor

Quotient is the answer to the equation (3 = 6 / 2, the quotient is 3).

Dividend is what you are dividing (3 = 6 / 2, the dividend is 6).

Divior is what you are dividing by (3 = 6 / 2, the divisor is 2).

If division equation is changed to 3 = 7 / 2, we have a remainder of 1 left from the dividend.
