Why won't retail online car battery sellers offer to ship to buyers?

1. Some carriers (shipping companies) have concerns about the hazardous material classifications and requirements. The law is somewhat ambiguous and a lot of companies dont want to deal with the hassle.

2. Price. It would cost more to ship the battery than the battery itself. Average weight of an auto core is about 40-50lbs
