First make sure the motor is fully warmed up so any particles in the oil will be suspended.

Below the oil tank on the right side of the bike there's a large rubber hose with a metal plug in the end, held in place by a hose clamp. Removing that plug will allow the oil to drain.

After the oil has drained, replace the drain plug.

Remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one of the same type after first smearing a film of oil around its rubber gasket.

Add three quarts of oil to the tank under the saddle.
