Anyone should use the acronym WARTS when ever the victim is in shock. WARTS stands for Warmth, Airway, Rest and Reassurance, Treatment and Semi-prone position. To do WARTS first you ask for a towel or a blanket. Then check their airway by putting your ear to their mouth and placing one hand on the forehead and one on the chin, meanwhile examine their stomach to see if they are breathing well; if it moves up and down as average. Rest and reassurance is basically speaking that you check to see if they are okay. Treatment is when you treat them so basically if they have asthma make them purse their lips and breath through them if they have a cut pressure it. While doing all of this constantly talk to your victim to make yourself seem friendly and not a stranger tell them about yourself; age and name. Semi-prone is when you lift their right leg up and un-cross the left arm then cross the right arm and roll, and be sure the victim is away from the water.
