How did continent divided?

Continents were divided through the process of plate tectonics, where the Earth's lithosphere is broken into several pieces called tectonic plates. These plates move over the Earth's mantle due to convection currents, causing them to collide, pull apart, or slide past each other. Over millions of years, this movement has resulted in the shifting and rearranging of continents as we know them today.
