If you want a proper, no-fuss homemade fudge recipe that actually sets and tastes rich (not grainy), here’s one I’ve used for years. It’s simple, beginner-friendly, and perfect for gifting or late-night sweet cravings.
Ingredients:
- 400g sweetened condensed milk (1 tin)
- 300g good-quality dark or Milk Chocolate (chopped)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (optional but recommended)
Method:
- Line a square tin (about 8x8 inch) with baking parchment.
- In a saucepan on low heat, add condensed milk, chocolate, and butter.
- Stir continuously until everything melts and becomes smooth. (Don’t rush this — low and steady prevents burning.)
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt.
- Pour into the lined tin and smooth the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours (overnight is even better).
Lift out, cut into squares, and try not to eat it all at once.
