When was Coco Chanel perfume introduced?

Coco Chanel died in l97l. Her company survives and is a fashion house. as with other posthumous honors- she is probably credited with things she had little to do with. She did (invent) or popularize designer eyeglasses, for example. the handbags and the Western-spur looking back to Back C-C monogram I am not so sure of. Perfume and the Chanel suits- of course.
