  • Because I am very good at algebra and grasping the logic behind mathematics. I also SUCK at reading / writing so it makes me admire math more. Without it i would have nothing!!!
  • I like math because it will help you in the future and I like algebra.
  • Math has a lot of handy applications in science.
  • I cannot answer this question because everybody opinion is different.

It will also help you to be rather better at Words too... After all, if you plan to become a professional scientist or engineer you will have to learn how to produce formal, peer-reviewed papers, reports to senior managers & customers, etc.

As for "a lot of handy applications in science", you will find that mathematics is vital to the foundations of science, not some some sort of useful gadget.

These aren't my "opinions" - and I'm the opposite, good with Words not numbers - but hard facts I've learnt from nearly 40 years working for manufacturing and research companies; and with an amateur interest in the natural sciences.

Math is the song and dance of the Universe, why wouldn't you like it? It lets you see the cooling of hot cups of coffee. the arc of the baseballs you throw, and the swirls of everything from water eddies to the galaxies.

Math helps you gain skills you may use later on in life and/or a future career.
